The latest dirt from our way

May 27th, 2009

Did some recon on the mountain bike with TK yesterday-up Downtown to the Scenic Loop-out the Loop to the Blue Diamond trail going into the Knolls Loop to the “Chiken Foot”. From there we went left…screamer downhill to Sawmill cutoff where we crossed and took the ridge road down to the far end of Shady Rest. We then climbed up a different hill back to the “Chicken Foot”-the Scenic Loop single track, Downtown and home. The dirt is killer-the rains we’ve had have made for really good, fast, tacky dirt. Snow patches are non-existant. There are the very occasional-for-now sand traps but this time of year pretty minimal. Overall the mountain biking is excellent. Go Get Dirty!

We were doing lines down Christmas bowl to Coyote and then to chair 2…traversing over to chair 5 and skiing the face. If ever there was such a thing as too much fun…
