Another Stormy Weekend on the Way!!

February 26th, 2010

The skies opened up and snow started to fall around 1p.m. today.  Forecasters are projecting the town of Mammoth will get another 1-2 feet tonight through tomorrow with another storm to follow in the next couple of days.  The snow is falling straight down right now with hardly a hint of wind.  With the few feet of fresh we got in the middle of the week and the projected storm for tonight the weekend should remain soft and powdery.  So for those of you on the way up take it slow there will be plenty of snow for everyone this weekend.  The way the pattern is setting up it is looking like March has the potential to be a very wet month.  So for those of you who thought summer was right around the corner with such a dry February, it might be farther off than you thought.  Winter is way to short anyway, even in the Eastern Sierra.

Utah type Snow overnight!!

February 22nd, 2010

After 2 feet of wind yesterday, we woke up this morning to a foot of powder on the mountain and bluebird skies. It doesn’t get much better than this!  The top did open up but the wind scoured a lot of it – no here mid week so you have the mountain to yourself right now. Look for another 1-2 feet Wednesday night..

Great Presidents Weather Forecast

February 8th, 2010

Temps are cold but the sun is out and we are expecting a clear week of weather ahead. This is also the week of the dealer Demo Days – where we get to go out and demo next years equipment before we write the orders for next year. Bookings are up for the weekend but with every run open crowds should not be an issue. You can still reserve rental equipment on line for the weekend!
