A windy day in Mammoth today with firm snow conditions for those early risers..We are looking for a warm up for the weekend and then rumours of a return to winter conditions next week..we will keep you updated as soon as we know more.. In the meantime – conditions are anticpated to warm up during the day and remain cold at night – this should translate to great skiing for the first part of spring break – all runs open on the mountain and with a 12 foot base, no obstacles to be seen…

It is another beutiful month of March in Mammoth Lakes. We had some excellent powder skiing the first week. One person I was skiing with even told me she had the best powder run of her life lats wednesday. Then we had a few days of sun and great windbuff  skiing. Mammoth snow turns into magic when the wind blows. Another storm just passed through this Friday. Fresh snow for the weekend. It looks like this next week will be warm and sunny, the first little taste of spring. With this current snowpack we should ski until June. Many more happy turns ahead.
