Inyo Craters Trail Maintenance

Join Corty and help maintain and improve the Inyo Craters trail in conjunction with Friends of the Inyo and MLTPA. Meet at the trailhead off the Scenic Loop at 8 30am and plan to spend the morning doing trail clean up and maintenance. And..stay for lunch and some great raffle prizes..

August 17th sees the return of our popular guided trail ride – we meet at Footloose at 5pm for a shuttle up to Minaret Vista or Mammoth Mtn. Along with Footloose employees-ride either downtown or Mountainview depending on your ability – enjoy a social get together at Footloose after the ride. Hope you can make it!

Womens Rides – Wednesday’s and Sundays!

Summer has started and we are hosting guided road bike rides for women on Wednesday’s ( 8.30 at Whitmore Pool) and every Sunday ( call for updated ride and times). We have formed a great group of casual riders who want a 1 1/2 – 2 hour ride- all led by Bobby and beginners welcome- we even rent road bikes!!

Skiing is still incredible!

The weather is still fairly  unsettled but the skiing has been incredible – especially off the top..We can’t remember a year like this when you could still ski Hangman’s without an obstacle. That being said- road riding is good and the Rock Creek trail is open for mountain biking..

Wet snow is falling this morning but should taper off by the afternoon. More importantly is the next couple of systems are scheduled to give us several feet of snow by Monday.. Winter is returning to Mammoth..

“Utah” type conditions are anticipated for the weekend- so if you are looking to experience the face shots everyone talks about- now is the time- a mix of extremely cold temps and snow are supposed to produce the type of snow we rarely see here..Don’t miss it

5 Feet of snow and kids ski free!

Winter has returned with a vengance – 5-6 feet of fresh snow has fallen in the last 2 days. Mammoth is celebrating Woolly’s birthday next weekend at Canyon Lodge- with any adult lift ticket- kids ski free!!
