Fischer as a company has been quietly flying under the radar for the past couple seasons, preferring to let their simple yet effective product do the talking for them. The Watea 78 is a perfect example. A wood core, topped with carbon fiber, built using a sandwich construction, allows this ski to be light, grippy and playful. Suited best for Mammoth on-piste cruisers, the Watea 78 allows advanced intermediates to ski almost any terrain normally considered out of their comfort zone. Forgiving and predictable with skier-friendly dimensions so you can float through powder laden trees on Dragon’s Back, rip the zipperline in the bumps on Chair 3, or bang out turns on the Broadway. The Fischer Watea 78, a great Mammoth ski definitely worth a closer look.
