Can demo fees go towards a purchase?
Skis and Boots:
Absolutely. If you demo and then buy your gear from us, up to three demo days of the season can be refunded at time of purchase through March 1st each year. From March 1st-31st, we’ll refund up to two demo days for your purchase. From April 1st through the end of the season, we’ll refund up to one demo day.
Bikes and Paddleboards:
Apply up to two days’ of rental credit to a purchase of a new bike or paddleboard. Offer is good through September 1st. Refund amount will be equivalent to the category of the bike or paddleboard you purchase.
Do you need an appointment for boot fitting and repair?
Yes, all our major boot fitting is by appointment only. Appointments are available every morning through afternoon until we book up for the day. We also offer very limited evening boot fitting and repair that will be done overnight for pick up the next day.
Do I need an appointment for buying or demoing boots?
If you’re shopping for new boots (or demoing ski boots), custom footbeds, zip fit or foam custom liners, or boot heaters you do NOT need an appointment. Just come in and we will do our best to get you set up as fast as possible.
Do you need to reserve rentals or can you walk in?
You can reserve your rentals ahead of time or walk in to get rentals. During certain holiday periods we don’t offer online rental reservations, but rentals are still available for walk-ins, so just come by the shop to rent.
Are there discounts for multi-day and group rentals?
We offer multi-day discounts (20% on four or more days, holidays excluded, not applicable to demo equipment) and military and group discounts.
Are bike repairs available year-round?
Bike repair is open in spring, summer, and fall, servicing mountain, road, and e-bikes. Winter availability varies—call ahead: (760) 934-2400.
Can I drop off my skis or snowboard for overnight tuning?
Yes. We offer overnight ski/snowboard tuning, so you can drop off your gear after a day on the mountain and pick it up the next morning, freshly tuned and ready to ride.
Can I purchase ski passes or lift tickets at the shop?
No. We do not sell lift tickets or Ikon Passes—those must be purchased directly through Mammoth Mountain or the Ikon Pass website.
Can I rent ski’s all season long?
Yes, starting in October we offer season-long ski rentals for adults. With this rental option, there’s no need to wait in line, come into the shop. Seasonal ski rentals are first come, first served.
Can I use my rental ski’s at other resorts?
If you are renting from us for the entire season, yes. You can take your season-long rental ski’s to June Mountain, Tahoe, and anywhere you want to go!
When does your preseason ski tuning sale start?
Every year, November 1st – 15th, we run a tune-up special for our Anniversary sale.
