Honoring Tony
Colasardo
Footloose Sports lost one of its founders, Tony Colasardo, in 2019, but his legacy lives on. On February 10, 2020, we celebrated Tony’s life with a torchlight parade on Mammoth Mountain. It was a moving, magical and spectacular event that encompassed the love, friendships and respect that would have humbled Tony had he been with us.
Tony was an active recreation commissioner for many years and helped create many of the amenities we enjoy in Mammoth Lakes today.
Take a Turn for Tony
Every February, we encourage everyone to go take a Turn for Tony at Mammoth Mountain, take a Toast for Tony, or listen to a Tune for Tony with our Spotify playlist. We sell special Turns for Tony shirts & hoodies in the shop. All profits from these products will go directly to the scholarship fund.
On February 22, we’ll donate 15% of all sales to the scholarship fund. Shop with us that day to give back!
Donate to the Scholarship Fund
We invite you to donate to the Tony Colasardo Scholarship Fund.
This fund is administered through the Town of Mammoth Lakes’ Parks and Recreation Department to provide scholarships to local kids to attend summer camps in the community. Tony was an active recreation commissioner for many years and helped create many of the amenities we enjoy in Mammoth Lakes today. Donations are tax deductible.
