Footloose Sports lost one of its beloved founders, Tony Colasardo, in 2019, but his spirit and impact continue to shape our community.
Tony served for many years as a recreation commissioner and helped create many of the recreational amenities we all enjoy in Mammoth Lakes today.
The Tony Colasardo Scholarship Fund helps local kids participate in summer camps and recreation programs, continuing Tony’s commitment to youth and community.
Take a Turn for Tony
Every February, we encourage everyone to go take a Turn for Tony at Mammoth Mountain, take a Toast for Tony, or listen to a Tune for Tony with our Spotify playlist.
We also sell special Turns for Tony shirts & hoodies in the shop. All profits from these products will go directly to the scholarship fund.
On a day in February every year (2026 date is February 13th), Footloose Sports donates a percentage of all sales to the scholarship fund. Shop with us and help give back.
Tony Colasardo Scholarship Fund
We invite you to donate to the Tony Colasardo Scholarship Fund, which is administered through the Town of Mammoth Lakes Parks & Recreation Department.
The fund provides scholarships to help local kids attend summer camps and recreational programs in our community, ensuring that financial barriers never stand in the way of participation.
Your donation helps keep Tony’s legacy alive by supporting youth, recreation, and community, the causes he cared deeply about. Donations are tax deductible.
