Backcountry skiing is inherently dangerous, so we encourage everyone to be prepared and cautious and get educated through avalanche safety courses. There are many great local organizations offering courses throughout the winter. And we encourage you to use and support our amazing local avalanche resource, the Eastern Sierra Avalanche Center.
